Obituary

Nagui Morcos (1957 – 2012)

On April 22nd Nagui Morcos died as he lived, with great dignity, having endured the cruel progression of Huntington’s disease for eight years. Beloved husband of Jan, cherished son, brother, nephew, uncle, godfather, cousin and friend, Nagui truly loved life and was passionate about everything he did.

Nagui enjoyed a successful career in food marketing and retailing, particularly in cheese and chocolate, and was always a purveyor of fine foods, for which he will be missed dearly. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Nagui came to Canada with his family in 1967 and became a fiercely proud Canadian. A graduate of McMaster University (B.Comm, 1979), Nagui loved to travel and to experience other cultures. He was a volunteer in the Out of the Cold program in Toronto for eight years, and more recently volunteered and was a committed spokesperson for Dying With Dignity.
